Implementation of Rotatelog in Apache
The implementation of Rotatelog can cause the Server to crash.

HAN 1: The usage of the program Rotatelog in Apache to rename and copy log files at a particular time often causes problems in server environments. The reason for this is that with a new start of Apache the Rotatelog process is not terminated but continues running in the background. Furthermore these processes can sometimes engage the entire memory, so that the server no longer is able to respond and then has to be rebooted.

HAN 2 uses as of version 2.3.2 a new Rotelog module which does not cause the problems mentioned above.

The new Rotetalog module can also be added to NetMan if necessary (e.g. if the NetMan Webserver is additionally used as a proxy server). In this case please contact the H+H Support team for assistance.
